Trinity

House of Hope Recovery Facility

Mission/Purpose

House of Hope is a recovery facility for women who are trying to overcome drug and/or alcohol addictions. We are faith-based and health oriented. We are a tobacco free "dorm" lifestyle incorporating Bible studies, classes and personal counseling.

Volunteer Opportunities: Work at the House of Hope Thrift Store by making pick ups and deliveries for the store. Other opportunities include internships in the office, possible counseling opportunities and cleaning at both the store and the House. Help assist with teaching clients how to balance a checkbook, computer classes, health classes and exercise classes. Graphic art skills are needed in designing brochures and flyers or arts/crafts classes.

Mission/Purpose

It is the right of every women to give birth and the right of every child to be born. We provide alternatives to abortion.

Volunteer Opportunities: To be a friend to the women seeking help. Help staff with phone calls, assist with pregnancy tests, sort and distribute maternity and baby clothing and clerical work. Experienced volunteers will make presentations to schools and community groups about the organization and its services.

The Woodlands and Spring

Mission/Purpose

Research: We lead the quest to provide research funding into non-traditional cancer prevention and treatment options.

Educate: We teach an "integrated cancer care" and prevention lifestyle through our University Education Program.

Prevention: Promote public health policies for the prevention of breast cancer.

Support: Provide funds (emergency financial assistance to women and their families).

Volunteer Opportunities: Staff University Education IGoPInk booths throughout the year. Also, assist with handing out T-shirts, pens, educational materials at Breast Cancer events. Volunteers are needed for events such as the Stiletto Sprint and IGoPink Golf Classic.
