Mission/Purpose

We are a non-profit agency committed to empowering abuse victims by providing immediate, free and confidential services. To our clients, we offer exceptionally trained staff and volunteer resources to help reach each individuals need. SAAFE House strives to educate the community at large to prevent and eliminate the causes of family violence and sexual assault.

Volunteer Opportunities: Help with clerical work, assist by transportation clients to appointments, work with the Education Team on presentations for the community, watch children when parents are in sessions, assist shelter staff by working with victims of domestic and sexual abuse, work the Hotline, assist clients with legal procedures and be on-call to help the shelter staff as needed.

Volunteer Requirements: Application, Interview, Orientation/Training and Background Check.

Mission Purpose

To promote safe shelter, crisis intervention, counseling. legal and support services to victims/survivors of family violence, sexual assault, stalking and abuse in Montgomery and surrounding counties. Also, to provide education to the community on these issues.

Volunteer Opportunities: Help at the retail/resale store by sorting, tagging, selling and straightening items. Also, help with administrative duties and with additional training help by being a legal advocate, answering hotline calls, go on sexual assault calls as an advocate, assist at shelter and with childcare.

Volunteer Requirements: Application, Orientation/Training, Background Check and some jobs require a Confidentiality Form.
