2013 Drum Majors

Leonard Castleberry

Leonard graduated as a Drum Major from Klein Forest High School in Houston, Texas in Spring 2009. He is a trumpet student under Randy Adams. He has been a member of the Jazz Lab Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and the Trumpet Studio. He is a senior at Sam Houston studying Music Education. He is currently a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Leonard also is a marching tech for Klein Forest High School in the summer prior to the start of BMB summer camp. He has been a member of the Bearkat Marching Band since the Fall of 2009. He hopes to graduate in Spring 2014 and begin his teaching career.  He also plans to pursue a Masters degree and become a principal.

This is Lauren's third year as a member or the BMB and first year as a Student Assistant. She is a junior at Sam Houston, majoring in music education and minoring in special education as a clarinet and bass clarinet player. She is a member of the Honors college, and she is now the President of the Sigma Alpha Iota chapter at Sam Houston.
