Allyson Naylor is a second year drum major for
the Bearkat Marching Band. She graduated from Lake Travis High School in Austin,
Texas in 2008. She is now a senior at Sam Houston where she is a clarinet
student of Dr. Patricia Card and Dr. Dmitry Perevertailenko. She has also
studied french horn. She has been a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band,
Concert Band and Angry Orange Basketball Band.. Allyson has been a member of the
marching band since the fall of 2008 and has marched clarinet and mellophone.
Allyson is pursuing a degree in Music Education and a minor is History. She's
also the President of Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for
Women. She hopes to graduate in the Fall of 2012
Cody
Brooks
Cody graduated from Deer Park High School in Deer
Park, Tx in Spring of 2009. He is a euphonium student under Dr. Henry Howey. He
has been a member of the Marching band, Concert band, and Tuba/Euphonium
Studio. He is a junior at Sam Houston studying Music Education. He is
currently a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He also is a marching tech for Deer
Park High School Marching Band in the summer before going to BMB summer camp.
Hopes to graduate in Spring 2014 and hopes to teach in the Houston area will
getting a masters degree.

Lee
Lauren graduated from Klein Collins High School in Spring, Texas in Spring of 2009. She is a flute student under Kathy Daniel. She has been a member of the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and the Flute Studio. She is a junior at Sam Houston studying Music Education. She is currently and member and Treasurer of Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for Women. Lauren has been a member of the Bearkat Marching Band since the Fall of 2009 and hopes. She hopes to graduate in Spring 2014 to teach and then later pursue a Masters degree in conducting.

Josh Allen
Joshua Allen is a third-year Music Education major at Sam Houston State. Growing up in The Woodlands, Texas, he is a graduate of College Park High School, where he was taught by Charlotte Royall. While at College Park, Josh was a two year 5A All-State Tuba player, as well as the Principal Tuba for the Honor Orchestra of America. Prior to Coming to Sam, Josh performed two years (2007-08) with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. It is there that Josh found his passion for music. Since coming to Sam Houston State, Josh has participated in two SHSU Honors Recitals and was named a finalist for the 2010 student division of the Leonard Falcone Tuba Competition. Josh is thrilled to be a student assistant for the 2011 Bearkat Marching Band. Eat 'em Up Kats!

Marcus Hughes
Marcus Hughes graduated from Montgomery High School in Montgomery, Texas in the spring of 2009. He is now a junior music therapy major at Sam Houston State University. He studies clarinet under Dr. Patricia Card and Dr. Dmitry Perevertailenko. He has been a member of Wind ensemble and Symphonic band, and has been a member of the Bearkat Marching Band since the fall of 2009. He is currently a member of the Honors College and Mu Tau Omega (the music therapy organization). He served as an officer of Mu Tau Omega, and is currently serving as Treasurer on the regional student board with which MTO is affiliated. He plans to graduate in the fall of 2013 and then later pursue a masters degree in Healthcare Administration.
Jennie Malone
Jennie Malone graduated from Sachse High School in Sachse TX, in 2007 and began attending Sam Houston State University in the Fall of 2008. She is a senior music education major and a clarinet student of Dr. Patricia Card and Dr. Dmitry Perevertailenko. She is a 4 year member of the Bearkat Marching Band and has also been a member of the Symphonic Band. Jennie is an active member of Tau Beta Sigma national honorary sorority where she currently serves as the Southwest District Secretary/Treasurer and has served as her chapter President and Treasurer. Jennie will be graduating in May of 2012.
Chaston Pruitt
Chaston Pruitt is a graduate of Mexia high school 2007. He is a senior history major with a music minor. Chaston has served in many organizations including Tau Kappa Epsilon where he is currently president while also a senator in the student government organization. Chaston will graduate in may 2012 and he plans to go into the education field
