Debbie,
You are one of the strongest women I have ever known. You inspire me. Together we can conquer anything.
Love you always,
Your oldest friend,
Jennifer
I just registered for the race and would like to first of all thank you all for remembering us. My maternal grandmother passed away on April 19, 1980 with breast cancer. Unfortunately, my mother also lost her battle to breast cancer on March 19th, 2006. As a result of their deaths, I have been monitored extremely closely by my physician and have so far had three precancerous breast masses removed. Therefore, I am sending this letter in remembrance of my mother and my grandmother and even though I lost them, I feel as though God has saved me to break the cycle. I have been teaching my daughters for years to join me and keep this cycle broken.
Thanks again. God bless.
Lynda Terry

My grandmother, Edith O'Connor, was a 30-year breast cancer survivor. She was an articulate, gifted and intelligent woman. Most of all she was tough! I will be walking for her with the hope that there will be a cure so that family members already here (great-great granddaughter, Brittney Randolph...a student at SHSU) and the generations yet to come will never have to deal with a positive diagnosis.

For Momma Cox
this run is for you because of the love/support you have given me all these years. “For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
