Bearkats! Mark your calendar for September 16, 2011 the 6th annual Alcohol and Drug Summit !

This event will involve alcohol and drug awareness sessions combined with innovative learning activities. All of the events are designed to help our Bearkats make smart decisions that can positively impact their lives and the lives of other Bearkats.

Participants can earn S.W.A.A.T. prizes, t-shirts throughout the day. The student organization with the highest number of participants attending the Alcohol and Drug Summit sessions will receive a cash donation to their group from Student Activites.  Plan on attending this great way to kick off the school year!

 

 

 

   DRUG-FREE CAMPUS AND WORKPLACE ACT

Sam Houston State University (SHSU) is committed to ensuring the safety and health of its employees.  This communication will serve as official notice of the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) and Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention regulations.  SHSU has adopted and implemented a program to prevent the unlawful manufacture, possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs or alcohol by employees on University property, at any school activities or while on official duty.  All employees are required to obey the law and to comply with the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Regents, Texas State University System and SHSU institutional rules.
