A mixed choir with a membership of 50-60 singers, the SHSU Concert Choir is a wonderful place for music majors and non-majors alike to make music. Ensemble membership is open to music majors, especially freshman men and sophomore women, and non-music majors of all ages. The ensemble is directed by Dr. Eric Esparza, who also teaches studio voice. Non-music majors with considerable high school choral or instrumental experience are encouraged to audition.
Concert Choir gives at least one individual concert each semester. Members will also combine with other choirs to form the larger SHSU Symphonic Choir for a holiday concert in December and a masterworks concert in May.
