Summer Camps Information
Supervision
Campers are supervised at all times during the camp. Campers check-in with counselors as they move from building to building. Campers are free to move within the building. Camp Faculty supervise the campers during instruction. Campers may not visit rooms of members of the opposite sex.
Camp Counselors
The Camp Counselors are chosen from music students at Sam Houston State University. The majority are music education majors (future music teachers) that are completing their degrees. The counselors guide the students to classes and activities, and supervise the campers during the day and at night. The Camp Counselors are housed in the dorms, on the same floor as the campers.
Code of Conduct
Campers must adhere to the Camp's Code of Conduct (detailed in the Camper Handbook). Students that violate the Code of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action (missing activities, etc.). Severe violations will result in the camper being sent home without refund.
