Summary

A camp that focuses on marching percussion - battery and front ensemble.

Campers will spend the week learning individual and ensemble marching percussion techniques from some of the most recognized educators in the state. In addition to instruction on marching percussion, students will have the opportunity to attend afternoon clinics by internationally recognized performers in other areas of percussion.

Activities

  1. Instruction on techniques for battery instruments: Snare, Bass, Tenors, Cymbals

  2. Instruction on techniques for front ensemble instruments: Keyboards and Timpani

  3. Marching fundamentals

  4. Cadences, Full Ensemble Music Rehearsals

  5. Clinics on various aspects of percussion (drumset, multiple percussion, keyboards, etc...)

Auditions

Auditions will be held for placement in ensembles. The auditions will take place on Sunday, after or prior to registration (see schedule). The audition is for placement in the ensembles only, ALL ability and experience levels are welcome.

Performance

The final performance will take place at 4:00pm on the last day of camp.

The location will be indicated on the schedule and registration packet.

All campers must perform in the final performance. Camp will conclude at the end of the performance.

Faculty

The campers are taught by outstanding drumline instructors from across the state. Each faculty members has vast experience in training and rehearsing young band musicians. This year our faculty are Jerriald Dillard, Rick Rodriguez, and Chris Young.
