Abstract
Encouraging undergraduate research is one aspect of the job of a faculty member in the mathematical sciences for which many are unprepared. We will discuss ways to recruit students to participate in undergraduate research, appropriate topics for research, and ways to procure funding for student travel to present their research at regional and national conferences.
