Become a part of SAMentors! As one of the premier groups at SHSU, SAMentors only chooses the best of the best to become proteges and mentors in the program. The SAMentors program helps freshmen and transfer students of various cultural and social backgrounds make successful adjustments to college. Mentors are sophomore, junior, and senior students, and protege are first-year or transfer students. Mentors and proteges typically have friendships that last throughout college and beyond. This program has group socials every month and a banquet at the end of each semester.

All mentors must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
