1. Create an MS Word document with the following student profile information:

First name, middle initial, last name

Your preferred name

E-mail address

Major

Classification

Hours per week working

Employer

Job description

Experience using Excel

Other jobs you have had that involved information technology

Your career goals

2. After having read the class syllabus answer the following questions:

a. How will copying another student’s homework impact your grade in the course?

b. Can you “work with” another student on a homework assignment (other than on the two team projects) and not be considered cheating?

c. How does missing class affect your grade in the course?

d. Is a homework assignment turned in one minute after the start time of class late?

3. Save the student profile file

4. Close the file

5. Create an E-mail to davidtaylor@shsu.edu. Put “John Doe (9:99 class) - E-mail homework” in the subject line.

6. Attach the student profile file to the e-mail and send it to me by the due date. Be sure to include time for transmission.

7. The student profile information should be done in a professional manner much like a resume. Remember, any time you send an e-mail or other document it reflects on YOU and should convey the image of yourself that you want to project.
