PROFESSIONALISM GRADE

This grade is computed as follows:

1. At the beginning of the semester everyone starts out at 100%
2. For each class missed over 2 (3 for a MWF class) there is a 20% reduction. This means that if you have 7 absences (8 for a MWF class) you would have a zero for professionalism.
3. You can earn back points by either making a class presentation or actively participating in classroom discussion when you are there. The amount of points you earn is subjectively determined by me and will be based on the quality of the presentation or classroom discussion.
1. Presentations must be scheduled with me and should not exceed 10 minutes. It can be on how you use the technologies we are studying in your work or personal life or it could be on a current topic of interest and relevance to the class.
2. Presentations can only be held on certain days. Do not wait until the last week of class and think that you can make one.
4. Sleeping in class, texting, leaving early without permission or arriving late is unprofessional behavior and will be considered the same as an absence. Other unprofessional behaviors will also be considered including being disrespectful of your classmates or instructors or any other actions that would be unacceptable in the business environment.
