Statistical Process Control
Statistical Process Control (SPC) is “the application of
statistical techniques to control a process.”
Variation is the enemy of quality. SPC provides a means
for monitoring the variation in a process and for detecting
unnatural sources of variation that sometimes creep into
a process. It also provides a means for quantifying variation
and thus a means for identifying targets for process
improvement and documenting the results of the process
