Reviews and Pretests for the Secondary ELAR TExES
The
state has published the test dates for the 2007-08 TExES exams. You may view the full schedule on the
English Department certification website, or visit the SBEC website for the
complete bulletin. You should set
a date to take the pretest way ahead of the date of the actual exam to assure
that you will qualify for the “main event.” You need only to pass one pre-test. You need to review before you take the
pretest and the exam. There are
tips on this website for test study; you can email Dr. Hanson or take the Eng
464 course to get other test studying suggestions. You may re-take the
pre-test, if necessary.
There
is a $5 charge for the pre-test; YOU MUST HAVE EXACT CHANGE. Bring #2 pencils because part of the
test is scantron. Wear short
sleeves and bring a coat or sweater.
If you have any questions about anything regarding TExES testing, refer
to the English certification info on Dr Hanson’s website: www.
shsu.edu/~mah011. For
further information or clarification, contact Dr. Hanson at mah011@shsu.edu.
·
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TAKE THE PRETEST, YOU MUST
EMAIL DR HANSON ONE WEEK AHEAD OF THE DATE YOU WANT TO TAKE THE PRETEST,
INFORMING HER THAT YOU ARE READY TO SCHEDULE A PRETEST DATE.
