Preparation for the Graduate Record Examination

During my 20+ years at Sam Houston State University, the GRE--stress at having to take it and/or concern over the possibility of failing to make the grade--has probably represented the greatest obstacle for students interested in becoming professional librarians/information/media specialists. Our facility has on many occasions discussed ways in which we might be able to minimize this obstacle. A training session I attended in Houston during January 1999 has convinced me that reasonably priced help is out there for those who need it. You might want to consider some of the following options:

Cambridge Educational Services, Inc. 2720 River Road, Suite 36, Des Plaines, IL 60018-4109 Phone: 847-299-2930 Fax: 847-299-2933 www.cambridgereview.com David P. Waldherr, president.

Billed as America's #1 campus-based testprep, Cambridge offers a wide array of courses, training personnel and learning resources aimed to increasing scores by as much as several hundred points in a relatively short time frame.
