GRANTS DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate new proposal development district-wide.

Stay informed on district rules, regulations, and requirements as they apply to external funding.

Work with school administration, faculty, and staff to determine needs that may be met through

development of grant-funded projects.

Respond to inquiries on funding possibilities, grant guidelines and procedures.

Research information from both public and private funding agencies on model programs,

fellowship possibilities, proposal announcements, requests for proposals, legislative trends

and conference announcements and serve as a depository of that information.

Prepare summaries of new grant funding sources related to the objectives of the district.

Maintain a library of successful district grant proposals that personnel can use as models.

Decipher application form requirements.

Identify collaborative individuals and organizations.

Provide demographic information o district and individual schools.

Serve as a liaison between proposal writers and the payroll and personnel departments to

provide information for grant proposals.

Provide proposal attachments as required by funders--names and positions of administrators

and board members, resumes, annual reports, etc.

Work with faculty and staff to develop and write high-quality, successful grant proposals by

providing district-wide staff development, school team staff development, and hands-on writing

and technical assistance.

Review and edit all proposals prior to submission for district approval.

Obtain superintendent/Board of Trustees signature(s) and submit proposals to funding

sources in accordance with district guidelines and funders' requests for proposals.

Monitor existing grants in coordination with the grant's project director, district accounting

personnel, and the funding source.

Keep one copy on file of every grant proposal the district submits to a state or federal agency,

foundation or corporation.

Coordinate contacts and correspondence with funding agencies regarding proposal status,

readers' scores and comments, etc.

Assist in preparation for negotiation with funding sources.

Coordinate preparations for on-side monitoring, evaluation, and audit visits.
