The following searches attempt to highlight the
capabilities of Meriwether. The first search will take several seconds
to load; subsequent calls to other search options will be answered more
rapidly.

Search for "Tale of two cities" using a Title Search.
Follow the link for the edition published in 1976 by D. McKay Co. This
bibliographic record has links to (1) Harper Audio's sample of James Mason
reading the book's first chapter, and (2) the complete text of the book
online at Bibliomania. (You must have the RealAudio 3.0 plug-in to hear
the audio sample.

Search for "Raphael" using a Keyword Search.
View the record for "Raphael; painter of the Renaissance." This record
has two links to images of Raphael's work.

Search for "Tennyson" using an Author Search. View
the record for "Poems of Alfred, Lord Tennyson." This record has a link
to the online text of The Charge of the Light Brigade, complete
with images othe original manuscript.

Search for "Shakespeare" and "Globe" and "theater"
using a Keyword Search. View the record for "Will Shakespeare and the Globe
theater." This record has a link to pictures of the 1997 inagural season
at the new Globe Theatre in London.

Search for "Saturn the spectacular planet" using
a Title Search. This record has a link to an image of Saturn taken by the
Hubble Space Telescope.

Search for "Hamlet" using a Title Search. Limit the
search to the Lockwood Middle School library. This record has a link to
John Gielgud reading from Act II Scene ii. (Your system must be capable

Search for "Shelley Percy" using an Author Search.
Limit your search to the Senior High School library. View the record for
"The selected poetry and prose of Percy Bysshe Shelley." This record has
a link to the complete poems of Shelley online.

Search for Madeline" or "Blueberries for Sal" or
"Story of Babar" or "Velveteen rabbit" using a Title Search. Limit your
search to library type designation "Elementary Library." Each title includes
cover images that would help an elementary student find the book on the
shelf.

Search for "Outer space" using a Subject Search.
Limit your search to the Castle Rock Middle School library. Choose the
"outer space - exploration" subheading heading. From the list of titles,
view the record for "The Space shuttle" by Gregory Vogt. This record has
links to the official NASA Shuttle web site and to two MPEG videos showing
a shuttle launch and the shuttle docking with the space station MIR. (Your
system must be capable of playing .mpg files to view these movies. If you
have a Java-enabled browser, this record also has a link to NASA's Java
applet that shows the real-time location of the orbiting space shuttle,
the Space Station MIR, and other satellites.
