METHODOLOGY SECTION OF A GRANT PROPOSAL

 

Definition and purpose

  1. The section describes what you will do to meet the objectives
  2. More specifically, it tells
  1. what you will have to do
  2. who will be needed
  3. how long they will work
  4. the materials and equipment you will need
Methodological activities
  1. Describe program activities in detail (how do they fulfill objectives?)
  2. Describe the sequence, flow, and interrelationship of activities
  3. Describe planned staffing of program (who is responsible for what?)
  4. Present a reasonable scope of activities that can be accomplished within the stated time
Frame and with the resources of your agency
  1. Make reference to the cost/benefit ratio of your project
  2. State specific time frames
  3. Include a discussion of risk (why your success is probable)
  4. Describe the uniqueness of your methods and overall project design
  5. Assign responsibility to specific individuals for each part of the project
