Student Workers Needed for Library's Computer Technician Office
A qualified applicant must have web page and programming experience as well as some computer hardware experience. Applicants should have experience in HTML, ASP, CSS, databases, and some experience with programs like Dreamweaver. Applicant must also have some experience in the following:
- Troubleshooting network problems
- Troubleshooting software problems
- Troubleshooting and repairing computer problems
- Configuring printers
- Customer service and/or help desk experience
- Building computers
Experience with any of the following is desirable:
- Video editing
- Digital photo manipulation
- Audio manipulation
- Scanning
- Troubleshooting scanner problems
- Server administration and maintenance
- Office Suite experience
- Video Surveillance Cameras
Experience with C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl and any other programming languages are a plus.
Applicant must be an enrolled student at SHSU with a minimum SHSU GPA of 2.5. Applicants must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
