Thoughts for today:

Forrest Gump: You've always got to put the past behind you before you can move on.

Mrs. Gump: I happen to believe you make your own destiny.  You have to do the best with God gave you.

Forrest:  What’s my destiny, Mama?

Mrs. Gump: You’re going to have to figure that out for yourself.  Life is like a box of chocolates, Forrest. You never know what you’re going to get.

Forrest:  Stupid is as stupid does.

Forrest:  I don’t know if we each have a destiny, or if we’re all just floatin’ around accidental-like on a breeze. But I, I think maybe it’s both, maybe both happening at the same time….

When Forrest gets up to talk at the Vietnam rally in Washington, the microphone plug is pulled and you cannot hear him. According to Tom Hanks, he says, "Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mommas without any legs. Sometimes they don't go home at all. That's a bad thing. That's all I have to say about that."
