Design and Development
Design
and Development is a program of study relating to the design of industrial,
architectural, and machine products. The program is generally associated
with drafting and drafting related activities although students learn
modern office technology necessary for control, manipulation, use and
transfer of images. Students learn the basic skills to develop design
concepts into plans and specifications that can be produced in various
industrial settings. The majority of courses have some computer assisted
design (CAD) as part of the learning process. Computer applications used
range from AutoCad and Microstation to various 3-D, technical illustration,
and digital imaging programs.
