Scholarship Award Disbursement Questions
Regarding Scholarship Fund Disbursement
1. How do I get the money?
If you have an outstanding (unpaid) balance, the scholarship money will first go to the unpaid fees. If you do not owe any funds to the university or the scholarship award is more than you owe, the balance will be refunded to you as you have designated through financial aid.
2. Will the scholarship award affect the financial aid I am already receiving?
It could. If you are already receiving financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid office at 936-294-3250 to see if the scholarship award changes your financial aid award.
3. When can I get the money?
Disbursement will not occur until you sign the acceptance letter and agreement form, sign up for the class, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, leave a copy of the registration form with the Office of International Programs, Farrington Building, Room 116.
