| PROGRAM OVERVIEW |
During the semester all aspects of the German language will be taught, to include: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis will be on practical aspects of language learning, focusing on the development of reading skills, writing and grammar review. Readings will be selected mostly from German, Swiss and Austrian authors.
They will become progressively more difficult as the course advances. Cultural traditions practiced in the German-speaking countries of Europe will be discussed in the context of the readings selected for the course. |

| STUDENT REQUIREMENTS |
| Students will have first completed 2 semesters of college German, or equivalent at SHSU or another accredited institution. |
| HOUSING ARRANGEMENTS |
| Students will stay in dormatories near Bern University. |
| TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS |
| Students will be travel through a group flight arranged by Dr. James Frankki. |
