Notification of State and Federal Legislation
and Human Resources Information
According to the State Laws enacted by the Fifty-second, the Sixty-fifth,
and the Seventy-fifth Texas State Legislatures, the Head of each
State agency is required to provide employees with certain legislation
and obtain an acknowledgment receipt for the information. The Human
Resources Department web site serves as official notification regarding
federal and state legislation and Human Resources related information.
As an employee, it is your responsibility to access the sites indicated
below in order to familiarize yourself with the legislation and
information provided. This information could change over time. Employees
are encouraged to review this page periodically for possible changes.

- ID Cards: The Bearkat OneCard is the official ID card for all
faculty, staff, and students at Sam Houston State University.
An active Bearkat OneCard is required for parking permits, Health
and Kinesiology Center and sporting event access, and library
usage just to name a few. Since the official Bearkat OneCard is
mailed to Sam Houston patrons, temporary ID cards that are good
for on-campus use are available for faculty members who have not
yet received their official university ID card. All faculty members
should contact the Bearkat OneCard office at 294-CARD or by e-mail
at bearkatone@shsu.edu
with questions regarding the card and how one can be obtained.
All new faculty members should bring an official government-issued
form of ID and their Human Resources ID Card Request Form with
them to obtain their ID card.
