EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Minimum of four (4) years experience in a particular field involved with a grant or project. Or a combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.
NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Performs professional work in the development and activities of the grant or project. Performs highly specialized work in planning and scheduling work involving research and presentation of materials for a particular grant or project.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May assist or perform complete planning or research project or grants and schedules assignments of projects to lower grade Staff Associates. Supervises, advises, and checks the staff on progress or research for a particular project or grant. Conducts original research of an advanced nature in a specialized field either alone or in collaboration with other staff members or other research groups. Writes reports on the results of individual research groups. Writes reports on the results of individual research findings. May prepare articles for publication and make speeches. May teach workshops or courses at the university in accordance with qualifications for the project or grant. Performs other related duties as assigned.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:
As may be required by grant or project; usually other university departments, state agencies, and off-campus firms.
*This is a grant funded position. Current funding ends September 30, 2010. Potential future grant funding is possible.
