TITLE: Career Services Employment Specialist HIRING SALARY: $2,288-2,882/Month

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Communications, Student Personnel Administration, or Social Science or related field. One year of experience in a college career services center, college recruiting, or human resources office. Or a combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.

NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Assists in the development and delivery of services from Career Services Center particularly in the area of providing support to recruiters, students and alumni throughout the recruiting process for internship and full-time opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for coordinating the on-campus recruiting program. Assists with the strategic identification and cultivation of relationships with regional, state, national and international employers for recruitment of university students and alumni. Works with employers to develop marketing strategies for enhancement of employer presence on campus, which includes, but is not limited to: campus recruitment, job postings, internships, career fairs, class/organization presentations and resume searches. Arranges and confirms recruiting dates and company information programs. Follows up with recruiters to establish and confirm interview schedules and to communicate selection results with students. Compiles statistical information for recruiting monthly and annual reports. Gives classroom presentations and workshops to promote Career Services resources to on-campus constituents. Conducts student appointments to provide assistance with resume and cover letter writing, job search strategies, job fair preparation, and interviewing skills.   Performs other related duties as assigned to advance the goals of the Career Center and the university. 

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:

Requires exceptional customer service, organization, written, and public speaking skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential. Must be proficient in MS Office programs- data base management experience desirable. Occasional travel is required.
