EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Marketing or related field. Five (5) years experience in parking related systems with at least three (3) of those years in a supervisory related capacity. Additional knowledge in the area of transportation and contractual agreements with third party transportation services requested. Or a combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.
NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To oversee the functions of the Parking and Transportation Office. Responsible for citations issued, parking permits, policies and procedures, resolving parking citation conflicts, public relations, budget development, supervise/develop staff, and oversee functions associated with the development of a transportation service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisory and managerial duties such as planning, organizing, leading, directing, controlling and assessing all regulatory activities in an assigned operational area. Checks for adherence to performance standards, personal appearance, and conduct of subordinates. Makes evaluations of subordinate's work. Plans and conducts in-service training programs, explains new policies and procedures. Prepares various reports and helps prepare the department's annual budget. Audits expense accounts and other expenditures. Assists in the recruitment, interviewing and pre-employment of new personnel. Helps maintain good departmental image. Performs other related duties as assigned.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:
Various contacts with off-campus agencies and vendors. Requires ability to develop knowledge of University structure, computer software proficiency, and a level of analytical complexity.
