EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or other related advanced degree, professional certification, preferably a certified public accountant with a minimum of ten (10) years of leadership experience in higher education or progressively responsible experience in senior level financial management positions.
NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting directly to the University President, the Vice President for Finance and Operations is the chief financial officer of the University, and is a member of the executive cabinet.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions include overseeing the fiscal and business operations of the University. Units reporting to the Vice President include: Finance & Operations, Business Office, Information Resources, Human Resources, Physical Plant, Public Safety, University Dining Services, Purchasing, and University Press & Copy Center Operations. The Vice President for Finance and Operations also manages the University’s investment portfolio and real estate acquisitions and sales.
The successful candidate will be an experienced financial leader with exceptional analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the University’s academic mission.
