EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Master’s in related field with at least six (6) years of significant experience in planning, implementing, leading and managing a development program. Or a combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.
NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Work closely with the Athletic Director in identifying and cultivating external revenue sources.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the day to day operations of the Athletic Department’s development and marketing efforts acquiring external revenue sources. Includes identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors, in addition to the marketing of corporate and ticket sales. Expected to develop a close working relationship with members of the community and the University. Will work closely with the University Advancement Office in coordinating external revenue sources. Oversee the department record keeping and database of all external donor gifts and sales.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:
Must be highly motivated, an energetic self-starter, have sound judgment and decision making ability, and attention to detail with solid organizational ability. Possess strong writing and verbal communication skills, and have exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. Must be knowledgeable of NCAA rules and will be expected to operate within these guidelines
