EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Two (2) years experience in research for a particular field involved with a grant or project. Or a combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.
NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising, various programs to support student academic success. Assists in the development of new programs and enhances existing programs in keeping with needs of student body.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the planning, development and implementation of academic support programs. Responsible for coordinating a peer mentoring program with Huntsville High School; coordinates standardized test preparation for students applying to graduate school; and with the utilization of computer assessment, helps students explore possible majors. May teach workshops and lectures; prepares reports and collects data. Performs other related duties as assigned.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:
As may be required by grant or project. Contacts involve other University departments, state agencies, and off-campus resources and organizations.
