EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of four (4) years related experience. Or a combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.
NATURE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide administration or computer networks and other systems within the Department of Computer Science. Performs professional and specialized work in the development and activities of the department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers the networked and other computer resources within the department of Computer Sciences, including, but not limited to: a 30- station network, HP blade server, data recovery and network security tools and devices. Responsible for network design, implementation, maintenance and administration. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the departments web sites and the deployment of distance education materials. Provide system resources and support for faculty research in Computer Sciences and Digital Forensics. Performs other related duties as assigned by Department Chair of Computer Sciences.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:
As may be required by grant or project; usually other university departments, state agencies, and off-campus firms.
