Position:

Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure Track

Degree Requirements:

Ph.D. or terminal degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Education, Civil Engineering, Construction Science Technology, Construction Science Management, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Agricultural Engineering, Supervisory Management, or similar degree.

Experience Requirements:

Teaching experience at the university/college level preferred, proven research competency, and a strong service orientation is desired. Industry experience preferred.

Environment:

The Program in Industrial Sciences consists of approximately 300 majors, the majority of which are enrolled in the Construction Management Program. The program utilizes a 10,000+ square foot classroom/lab facility, a 30-station computer drafting lab, 20-station electronics lab, and the 15,000+ square foot Agricultural Engineering Technology Center. Sam Houston State is located in historic Huntsville, one quarter of the way from Houston to Dallas, at the boundary between the Piney Woods region of East Texas and the Prairies and Lakes region of Central Texas. The university has an enrollment of approximately 16,400 students and a faculty of 650.

Usual Duties:

Research in area of specialization is required along with an expectation to provide service to professional, producer, industry, and student groups.

Salary:

$60,000 - $64,000
