Position:

Assistant/Associate Professor

Degree Requirements:

Earned doctorate in Special Education or related field: Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Experience Requirements:

Three years public school or clinical experience. Experience in clinical and/or school settings; experience working with diverse populations; evidence of scholarly production. Grant writing experience preferred.

Sam Houston State is located in historic Huntsville, one quarter of the way from Houston to Dallas, at the boundary between the Piney Woods region of East Texas and the Prairies and Lakes region of Central Texas. The university has an enrollment of approximately 16,400 students and a faculty of 650.

Usual Duties:

Teach undergraduate and graduate special education courses; advise students; initiate and collaborate in research and grant activities leading to scholarly publications; participate fully in program, departmental, college, and university meetings and committee work; supervise practica, internships and theses. Liaison with partner schools.
