Position:

Visiting Assistant Professor- Interim

Degree Requirements:

Master of Fine Arts or a terminal degree in a related field.

Experience Requirements:

Prefer expertise in one or more of the following areas: 2D and/or 3D computer animation, character animation, game theory and/or design. Experience using Maya or 3Ds Max, and other industry standard software. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred.

Environment:

Sam Houston State is located in historic Huntsville, one quarter of the way from Houston to Dallas, at the boundary between the Piney Woods region of East Texas and the Prairies and Lakes region of Central Texas. The university has an enrollment of approximately 16,400 students and a faculty of 650.

Usual Duties:

Teach classes in Animation program, and work closely with Art Department developing curriculum and promoting the BFA in Computer Animation.
