Position:

Assistant Professor- Tenure Track

Degree Requirements:

Doctorate in educational leadership or related field

Experience Requirements:

K-12 administrative experience. Potential to publish and demonstrate ability to work as a team member. Current knowledge in technology, supervision and research. Certification as a principal and/ or superintendent.
Other Requirements:
Work collaboratively with other faculty, school districts and agencies, promote the programs and recruit students.

Environment:

Sam Houston State is located in historic Huntsville, one quarter of the way from Houston to Dallas, at the boundary between the Piney Woods region of East Texas and the Prairies and Lakes region of Central Texas. The university has an enrollment of approximately 16,400 students and a faculty of 650.

Usual Duties:

To work in the innovative doctoral and masters program for educational leadership, and collaboratively work with other faculty, school districts, community colleges, higher education institutions, and agencies; participate in professional organization; demonstrate scholarly activity in research, writing and professional presentations; teach the necessary courses for the graduate programs in educational leadership; serve on dissertation committees.

Salary:

$50,000-60,000 (9months)
