Position:
Visiting/Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure Track or Interim
Degree Requirements:
Ph.D. or terminal degree in interior design or a related field (at least one degree must be in interior design.)
Experience Requirements:
Teaching experience in higher education is preferred, along with professional experience in the field of interior design. Must be NCIDQ certified and a member od ASID, IIDA, or IDEC.

Sam Houston State is located in historic Huntsville, one quarter of the way from Houston to Dallas, at the boundary between the Piney Woods region of East Texas and the Prairies and Lakes region of Central Texas. The university has an enrollment of approximately 16,400 students and a faculty of 650.
Usual Duties:
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in the areas of interior design business procedures, technical drafting, design development with CAD, building construction, basic design theory, and supervision of studio labs. Expectations for student mentoring, department service, professional development & scholarly activities.
Salary:
$40,000-50,000 (9 months)
