Position:
Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure Track
Degree Requirements:
Ph.D. in Industrial Technology or Industrial Education or related field
Experience Requirements:
Teaching experience at the college level preferred, proven research competency and a strong service orientation desired.
Environment:
Sam Houston State is located in historic Huntsville, one quarter of the way from Houston to Dallas, at the boundary between Piney Woods region of East Texas and the Prairies and Lakes region of Central Texas. The university has an enrollment of approximately 16,400 and a faculty of 650.
Usual Duties:
Candidate should be capable of providing undergraduate and graduate instruction in Computer-Aided Design, Construction Management and other related courses. Research in area of specialization is required along with an expectation to provide service to professional, producer, industry and student groups.
Primary teaching and administrative responsibilities will be in the discipline of Computer-Aided Design, Construction Management and other related courses. Must be able to work in a team environment to do assessment for accreditation purposes.
