HED 492.1 : PROBLEMS IN HEALTH(U)

A directed individual study of an approved field problem in health and/or allied fields. Prerequisites: HED 493 and departmental approval. Credit 3.

HED 577.1 : INDEPENDENT STUDIES(G)

The student with specific interest and background experience in a specialized area will have the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in a laboratory situation. He/she may have practical experiences in a clinic, agency, special school or other types of institutions. Prerequisite: Permission of the Chair of the Health and Kinesiology Graduate Committee . credit 3 .

KIN 417.1 : PRACTICUM IN KINESIOLOGY(U)

A course in which students serve as interns in a laboratory situation where emphasis is placed upon teaching skills. This provides a qualified student with an opportunity to gain teaching experience. Prerequisite: Permission of department chair. Credit 1.

KIN 492.1 : PROBLEMS IN KINESIOLOGY(U)

A directed individual study of an approved problem related to the field of kinesiology. Prerequisites: 9 advanced hours in Kinesiology and permission of the department chair. Credit 3.

KIN 592 : PROGRAM DEV IN KINESIOLOGY(G)

One of the responsibilities of a professional physical educator is to participate in the planning of the overall physical education program . Program planning involves decisions about what content will be included, how the content will be eequenced, how students, faculty and facilities will be scheduled, types of instructional approaches to be used, procedures for student evaluation, etc. The choices and decisions made reflect both the value system for the physical educators involved and the practical limitations within which they must work. credit 3.
