Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need to include an official transcript with my application?
No, we will review and print a copy of your transcript for your applicant file.
2. Who can I get to fill out my reference forms?
Current or former employers, resident managers, resident advisors, community leaders or professors are accepted. Please refrain from using friends or family as references.
3. Do I get to pick what building I work in?
No. We make placements based on the departments needs at the time of selection.
4. When do I have to return for work if I am selected as an RA?
On average, RA staff are due back approximately 1 week before halls open.
5. When do RA staff get to leave at the end of each semester?
RA staff are the last to leave each semester. As an RA, you will be expected to close your building with the staff team and perform administrative duties before leaving for the semester.
6. Do I get a private room with the position?
We make every effort to give you a private room. In some cases, temporary roommates may be assigned. (There are certain assignments that come with a possible roommate.)
