For students who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to becoming a secondary school teacher of American history, government, or social studies. Awards support up to two years of study and a maximum of $24,000. Candidates must:

be a U.S. citizen or national
be a college senior or recent graduate
have a competitive G.P.A.
plan to pursue full-time graduate study
plan to teach full-time in a secondary school
