Ken Hendrickson joined the department after completing his dissertation in 1993 and teaches courses in British History. Ken's book manuscript, entitled Making Saints: Religion and the Popularizing of the British Army at Home, 1809-1885," was published by Fairleigh-Dickinson University Press in 1997, and he has articles published in War and Society and other leading academic journals. Along with Glenn Sanford of the Department of Philosophy, Ken is putting the final touches on The Darwin Controversy, a reference work analyzing the political, cultural, and scientific controversies spawned by the publication in 1859 of Charles Darwins Origin of Species. The book will be published early next year by the Greenwood Publishing Group.
