Research and Service Activities
I am actively involved in research on various application of GIS including those involving water resources, law enforcement and business and marketing. I am principle investigator on a series of on-going environmental and watershed investigations at Fort Hood, Texas conducted on behalf of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering Reserach and Development Center. I am presently serving as a consultant to several law enforcement agencies on crime mapping and analysis using GIS. I have recently finished co-authoring a book entitled "Law Enforcement Geographic Information Systems" which will be available from Ann Arbor Press in January, 2002.
I serve on various Departmental and University committees including the Admissions Committee and I am involved in the Transportation Planning Advisory Committee for the City of Huntsville, Texas.
