Dr. Maniam received his Ph.D. in Finance from The University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS and his M.B.A. from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, AR. He worked in Standard Chartered Bank prior to obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, also from Arkansas State University.
His teaching area is mainly Corporate Finance and Investments and his teaching philosophy can be summarized in terms of three major aspects: "hands-on"; student-oriented professor and one where "theory meets practice". His research area is mainly in the area of investments and international finance.
Dr. Maniam will be offering two business courses on behalf of the College of Business Administration in Puebla, Mexico next summer. The two courses are: GBA 430/GBA 575: International Business Management FIN 430/FIN 575: International Finance and Trade.
