Enrollment Management coordinates the orientation sessions for new students. Summer Orientation Programs offer freshmen and transfer students the opportunity to learn about SHSU and the range of support services which are available across campus. During these sessions, students meet with an academic advisor and register for fall classes; they can secure on-campus housing for the fall, and can pay all of their fees for the semester. A mini-orientation program is offered for new students at the start of the fall semester, and again at the start of the spring semester. High School juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to see for themselves the friendly atmosphere that awaits them as students at Sam Houston State. Guests will get an in-depth look not only at the campus, but more importantly at the program(s) which interest them.

Choosing a college is an important decision! SHSU knows that you probably have lots of questions. "Saturdays @ Sam!" is designed to be informative about all areas of the college spectrum, from academics to student organizations. The goal is to provide prospective students with a sample of what SHSU has to offer and provide answers to all questions.
