The SHSU Reading Center is available to all students, faculty, and staff. The primary goal of the instructors is to empower all students with effective reading strategies and the confidence to excel in their classes. The SHSU Reading Center is staffed and equipped to assist students with their expository reading in a variety of learning environments. |

The Sam Houston Writing Center helps SHSU students, staff, and faculty and community members. The goal is to help people become better writers and develop more confidence in their writing abilities. To this end, Writing Center tutors provide one-on-one and small group writing instruction. Also offered are one-session workshops on various topics relating to writing throughout the school year. |

The Sam Houston Math Center is designed to help SHSU students, staff, faculty and community members. The goal is to help people become better at math skills and so develop more confidence in their abilities. To this end, the Math Center tutors provide one-on-one and small group problem solving instruction. |
