Management Information Systems Program

Management Information Systems (MIS) at Sam Houston State University is an established program that has grown and advanced with the trends in the industry.

The BBA in MIS offers small class sizes and the education to enter a broad range of career areas.

Coursework

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in MIS will first build a strong foundation of general course requirements from all areas of business.

The MIS-specific curriculum includes courses in Business Database Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Electronic Commerce Implementation, Programming, and Business Network Management, in addition to related electives.

The Management Information Systems curriculum is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to function in entry level information systems positions with a basis for continued career growth. Students are also prepared to continue into graduate studies, should they so choose.
