Scholarship Recipients

The English Department at SHSU held a scholarship reception in the historical Austin Hall on Sept. 17. Sixteen English students received various scholarships. Recipients included Shae Adams, Bethany Blair, Mark Blakeman, Dee Ellwood, Leann Fischel, Jennifer Gauntt, Sheryll Lamkin, Dustin Levien, Sonja Nitschke, John Rine, Melanie Verner, Heather Vincent, Debbra Vogel, Linda Wetzel, Reesa Wykes, and Jennifer Yepez.

Paula Lenz, Executive Director at the North Houston Association (and an English alumna), Dr. Darci Hill, and Dr. Paul Ruffin (2009 Texas Poet Laureate) addressed the scholarship recipients.
