Misty is a senior graduating with a BA in Speech Communication and a minor in Journalism. She is a member of Golden Key and Alpha Chi Honor Societies, and graduates in May Magna Cum Laude, earning a 3.75 overall grade point average; she ranks 50 in a class of 758.

Misty is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and has served in many offices including President. Misty was also President of Order of Omega Greek Honor Fraternity and was awarded the McDermott Outstanding Senior Award, given to only one graduating female each year.

It is difficult to pin down where Misty excels! She seems to be involved in so many activities and still can keep stackin' up those 4.0's. She's been a freshman orientation counselor, an Orange Key ambassador (there's only fifteen of them in the whole school!), and served on a multitude of committees for various functions; she participated in so many of her sorority's activities and yet you can find her at a Sig intramural game and always at the rush parties from the start to the finish!

The chapter is honored by having Misty chosen as one of the finalists for International Sweetheart. She, Erin Chandler (from Georgia Tech), and new International Sweetheart Metta Grockenberger (UCLA) attended Grand Chapter in Atlanta where they were wined and dined by Sigma Chi. Metta was crowned Sweetheart at the Sweetheart Ball held on Friday, June 28, 1997.

Misty is a wonderful representative for our Epsilon Psi Chapter and all in attendance at Grand Chapter commented on her poise and charm. We are very fortunate to have Misty as our chapter sweetheart.
