"I believe that our chapter shows best the tradition of friendship. I see brothers and alumni that come back with an obvious and undying bond with each other, which is amazing for a chapter of our size. I have witnessed justice by seeing brothers who may not be as close as others take a guy's side over a closer brother because he believed in what he was saying and did not allow the friendship to take the place of what is right.

I have many friends, and a few close ones that I grew up with. I love these guys I grew up with because we like the same things. This is where the line of friendship and brotherhood is drawn. I liked the guys in high school because of our similarities. But, now I have twelve pledge brothers who like totally different things than I do and some of the same things. This sometimes makes life extremely interesting and keeps things on a pendulum. But you see, I love all twelve of these guys too, but in a different way than I do those guys from high shcool; since we are different I believe this makes our bond stronger and harder to break like the bond of brothers. We may hate and we may love each other at different times, but we will all come together at the end with this bond of Sigma Chi that will forever keep us together."
